Score points for each correct pick during the 48 (group play) matchups in "Stage 1", and for each correct "Group Winner" selected to advance, and finally, for choosing a winner for each matchup in "Stage 2" (bracket picks). With our custom "pool options" managing your pool is a breeze. You'll be able to 'Invite' players to join from within your pool, provide 'Pool News' to your pool members and set custom point values for each round except the first round (group play). You can also manage the status of your pool members (active or inactive) and/or 'Delete' players if needed.
Throughout the 2010 FIFA World Cup soccer tournament, we'll update the results of each matchup and display the points for each round on your pool's 'Leader Board' for all of your pool members to view. Your pool also includes a "Trash Talk" message board where players can chat or talk trash with friends in the pool.

Creating your pool
To create a World Cup Soccer Pool, you must first become a member of MyOnlinePool.com
(MOP). Once you are logged in to you member account begin by clicking on "create a pool" and you will automatically be the "Pool Moderator". The moderator is responsible for
creating a pool name, sending invitations to join the pool and providing complete
pool details to all its pool members through the website console and/or by
email.

How to Play
Players must choose winners in advance, for every game throughtout the World
Cup Soccer tournament,
earning points for each correct pick. Deadline for all picks is prior to the
kickoff of the first game of the tournament. There are a total of 6 rounds
and each round has a specific point value for each correct pick. Your "Pool
Moderator" may set the point values for each of the rounds.
Making Your Picks
Stage
1 Picks (Group Stage)
(All picks must be completed before the first game of the
tournament kicks-off)
To make your selections go to your World Cup Soccer pool's
"MyPicks" page where you will see three subtabs labeled
"Stage 1 Picks", "Group Winners" & "Stage 2 Picks". Making
picks is easy as 1-2-3!
1- Begin with the "Stage 1 Picks" page and
submit your selections then enter a tie-breaker
score and click submit. (note: changes to your picks
are allowed up until the first game of the tournament kicks-off).
There are a total of 48 "Stage 1 Picks" to make.

2- Next submit your pick in the "Group Winners"
page. There are 8 groups of 4 teams in the World Cup. Two (2) teams
from each group must be selected to advance to the round of
16 (Stage 2).

3- The final step is to make your "Stage 2 Picks" (bracket) by clicking
on the link of the team you choose to win each matchup.
Please
note: If you edit your "Group Winner" picks after
completing "Stage 2" picks, your previous picks will be erased and you must re-submit new "Stage 2" picks.

Who Wins
The player with the most points at the end of the Tournament is declared the
winner. The total goals scored int he final championship game
will be used as the tie-breaker in case of a tie.

Pools of 3 or fewer players are FREE!
